- The Palace walls were made of drifted snow enclosing
over a hundred rooms, all immensely big and empty and glittering
in their iciness. In the midst of these never-ending snow
halls was a frozen lake broken upon the surface into a thousand
bits. The Snow Queen sat in the very middle of it when she
was at home and she would say she was sitting on 'The Mirror
of Reason'
- Inspired by Anderson's Fairy Tale The Snow
Queen, in which a small boy is kidnapped and taken
to a land far, far, away . . .
- Standing 2ft high, created with hand printed, embroidered/appliquéd
PVC plastics and found objects.
- 1997
