- I love to be beside the sea and spent many Summer Days at
Southport during my childhood.
Eating ice creams on the tiny Pier Train - passing
over the boats on Marine Lake, the Miniature Railway,
Pleasureland, and eventually, if we were lucky . . . at
the end of the Pier we'd see the sea! By turning the blue
station handles and peeping inside the mock
bricks, scenes and events from days gone by are discovered!
- Commissioned by Southport's Atkinson Art Gallery,
this sculpture enabled me to relive those memories and rediscover
the elegant holiday town once more.
- 9ft x 3ft Wood, memorabilia, found objects.
- 2003
