Seat on the Pier, Anyone for Golf, The Visitor's Chair

 

  • A chair was transformed into a high chair with wood and cardboard, inspired by Southport's Victorian Pier Pavilion.
  • The Y6 class from Woodlands Primary School, Southport, made this chair at the Atkinson Art Gallery, Southport in 2003.
Anyone for Golf
  • Inspired by Southport's Annual Golf Tournament, two chairs were transformed into a double golf buggy.
  • A group of Y3 children from Birkdale Primary School, Southport, made this chair at the Atkinson Art Gallery, Southport in 2003.
The Visitor's Chair
  • "We researched and designed a special chair, and then made it out of an old dining room chair with wood, nails and cardboard."
  • Y5 at Christchurch Junior School in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, created this throne in 2003 to replace the old reception chair.
