- The project aim was to transform a dull, lifeless corridor
into an exciting, but tranquil place to sit and read; using
mainly recycled plastics, mod rock and cardboard this was
a whole school project; Nursery - Y6 classes, teachers, helpers,
domestic staff and governors, all played a part in creating
this alternative world at St Mary's C of E Primary School,
Cadishead, Salford in 1998.
"Ingenious use of everyday recyclable materials transformed
our corridor. Not only were the children amazed by Gaye's creative
constructions - more importantly she gave them the expertise
and confidence to make their own!"
Vicky McAffer, Art Co-ordinator, St Mary's
C of E Primary School, Cadishead, Salford.
